Direct Secure Print is suitable for small locations where users typically stay within the one location.
With Direct Secure Print, print jobs are sent directly to a central holding device using the standard device driver. While the print job itself stays in that holding device, the job information is sent to uniFLOW Online. Users can release their print jobs at any supported device in that location; the print job information is sent from uniFLOW Online, which then requests the print job release from the central holding device.
Enabling Direct Secure Print will reject print jobs from unauthorized users sent directly to the device’s IP address i.e. unauthorized users will not be able to use the device’s printing capabilities. Provided the uniFLOW SmartClient and Direct Secure Print are deployed in one location, uniFLOW SmartClient users will still be able to print securely.
